Review:

With over 2.3 million pillows sold–we had to review the Sobakawa Cloud Pillow.

There are many reasons people do not get a good night’s rest: Stress, neck pain, back pain, etc. The infomercial says their pillow can end sleepless nights. But does it really work?

I love the pillow

Special Internet Offer: Get a Bonus Pillow Case Today! See Details...

Claim: Sleeping on a sea of clouds.
Verdict: Yes–the pillow is very comfortable. You fall right into it and it maintains shape. It is a rather unique experience you have to try to truly understand. It isn’t like conventional pillows.

Claim: Helps with pain.
Verdict: Yes–the pillow itself is gentle. It is slightly contorted for optimal alignment and healthy sleeping positions. In addition to the shape there is another benefit. You can put the pillow in a bag and put it in the freezer. I hurt my back bowling one day. I did just that and it alleviated the pain until I could start walking again. That feature alone is worth it.

Claim: The last pillow you’ll ever need to buy.
Verdict: It is a good pillow. I hate bunching pillows up in the night to sleep. The way these air beads shape the pillow prevents me waking up to readjust the pillow and bunch it up. It just works. I got a restful nights sleep. It may be the pillow I use all my life. But I think there comes a point where pillows get so dirty they merit replacement. I don’t know yet how it washes. When the need comes, I will update this review. But I expect the pillow to last a long time before it needs replacing.

Wow. I didn’t know they sold over two million of these things. It’s not hard to see why. I have bought two and thru me 6 more have been sold. Never have I been comfortable sleeping on my back, and now I fall asleep on a cloud and can easily move to different positions if I wish. You won’t get wrinkles in your face sleeping on your back! I lOVE my pillow!

First impression, great pillow.

If you are looking for a supporting low profile pillow I would recommend you to try it.
We have a tempur mattress and low profile tempur pillows. After a while the tempur pillows do not feel that confortable anymore (for us) but we love the mattress.

This pillow is supportive and molds around you head position, I can say better than low profile tempur one. Your head will not heat up because the microbids allow air to circulate.

On long term I don’t know, time will tell.

After having memory foam pillows for years, I couldn’t go back to the polyfill pillows, so I bought this Sobakawa. So GLAD I did! We live in a hot climate, so sweating at night is commonplace. I have always kept a fluffy, clean towel over my pillow. With the Sobakawa, it works GREAT! It isn’t cooler (or hotter like memory foam), the perspiration is the same, but being able to CONFORM the shape of the pillow to anything is WONDERFUL. I can scrunch it up under my chin, and it will stay like that for hours. After I move it all around my head, it feels like a firm foundation so I can settle in. It’s firmer than any other pillow I’ve had, but I can “fluff” it up to make it bigger. A bigger size pillow would be nicer, though. And it should be bug-resistant, cold/flu/strep resistant, sweat-resistant – which means I can use it for years. Very happy with purchase.

My mom purchased this product shortly after it came out to the market. I tried it at the time, and I thought it was just okay and I preferred my memory foam pillow. I recently had neck surgery, and found myself uncomfortable with nearly every pillow I tried: my memory foam (about 1 yr old), water based, regular. It was so bad that I could only tolerate sleeping in a recliner. Then I tried the Sobakawa Cloud Pillow, and I was finally able to sleep on a bed or couch. Also at my 2 week follow up appointment, I spoke with my doctor about the discomfort while sleeping. It was recommended to use this pillow that I had just started using. Now I’m at the point I can’t live without it. I just ordered the queen/king size. I can’t wait to get it. I also tried freezing the pillow… it does retain the cool for a while, however for more severe problems, it would probably be bust to use in combination with an ice pack.

Would you recommend? Yes
The pillow took a little bit to get used to, but what I really love about it is that I don’t wake up with face wrinkles. I truly feel like my regular pillow with a pillow case was helping to age my skin more. With this pillow your face is never being pulled or bunched against the material. It’s a very natural way to sleep. No more neck aches for me either. If I read a book at night, I will push the pillow around until I get the amount of lift that I want whether I am on my side or my back. It feels supportive and there is no unnatural bend happening to my neck whether side or back. I had no issues with odor and I am hyper sensitive to odor so I do not know what the other person commenting here is talking about.. It’s ALOT cooler than a regular pillow too, trust me, we’re in Florida. But if you are expecting it to cool you like an air conditioner, that’s not what it advertises.

I have a Tempurpedic pillow and bed. When we sold our house and dwnosized, I splurged on the bed. It was the BEST thing we ever bought. We’ve had it almost 5 years, and we still love going to bed at night.I had the buckwheat pillows for a while, but I thought they were noisy!I am going to check into that Chill-ow.

Personally, pillows that are too thick feel awful on my neck. I think they only work out if you’re rellay young. I can’t even nap on them and I’m only 21! I would advice a medium to flat pillow. Everyone has different preferences for exactly what works but, if you think about it, elevating you head like that is unnatural. Your head wants to sit in line with your spine so a fluffy pillow throws that out of line, as does no pillow at all. You may need to try a few before you find exactly what fits you.

This pillow is great. I have degenerative disc disease in my neck and have had several treatments but still have pain. After purchasing several other pillows including TerpurPedic, ergonomic, and several down alternative I finally tried this pillow. When I opened it much as other have stated I was surprised at how small and flat it was, but decided with the terrible neck pain I was experiencing it was worth a try. The first night it wasn’t what I would call comfortable but I know any new pillow especially when one is so different it takes some getting use to. It really didn’t take long and I was sleeping better than ever before. No waking up in the night with headaches from the neck pain. No sore neck in the morning. I really can’t believe how much it has make a difference. You should really give it a try.

As I am a side sleeper, I have always been awakened with sore ears that are mashed flat by my pillow. I bought the Sobakawa Cloud Pillow & have been sleeping like a baby ever since. It conforms to the contour of your face and head so that your ears are not mashed flat, eliminating the need to wake up throughout the night to fluff your pillow. Because I’m not tossing and turning like I used to do, I don’t wake up the next morning with wild & crazy “bed head” anymore either! After the first night on my Sobakawa Pillow, I went back the next day and bought two more. Absolutely love them!!!

We ordered these pillows from the manufacture and paid a lot more, ordering 4 more for family for Christmas presents was a lot less through Walgreens and they are well worth it, no neck pains, your head just sinks in so comfortable no matter which way you turn. We highly recommend them and everyone else loved them also.

Usally when I write reivews, I like to include some cons to make the review objective. I really can’t think of anything bad. The pillow is perfect. It forms to my head and holds shape all night. It is more affordable than other options for similar pillow. It on the firm side, but not as firm as the tempurpedic pillows that are kind of hard. It really is the perfect pillow. I love it. I’m going to order another one with the free pillow case you have. Thought I say a little thank you for making such a nice pillow.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to sleep with another pillow after this. With traditional pillows, I often woke up with jaw or neck pain. I even tried a cervical roll with my regular pillow and that helped a little, but the sobakawa is the best so far.

I thought size would be an issue – it is very small compared to other pillows. Even though it is small, it surrounds and supports my head just right. I have the small sized sobakawa and I am 5’3″. Someone taller might need a larger size.

Not to mention, I barely move around because once I lay down I fall asleep fast with my new pillow.

If you have neck or jaw pain, I suggest giving this pillow a try. Maybe it will help you too.

I have finally found a pillow that contributes to my having a good night’s sleep, without headaches upon awakening – the Sobakawa Cloud pillow. I hardly wake up at night any more, and the only difference seems to be my new pillow. This pillow is very comfortable and conforms well to my head – and quickly realigns when I change position – I don’t sink too far into it. It feels just right and was so easy to get used to; much easier than those foam pillows. I would recommend trying one.

I have sleep apnea and sleep with a CPAP and my husband has degenerated disks in his neck and back and arthritis in his neck and shoulder. We both have tried almost every pillow imaginable and this was the first good nights sleep we have had in years. No night sweats, no tossing and turning. No neck or shoulder aches in the morning.
I have a very sensitive sense of smell and I noticed an odor upon opening this product but it dissipated and there was hardly any scent left to it after only one nights sleep. The odor is gone now.
The product does tell you that you can put it in the freezer if you want a cooler pillow but I have had night sweats for years and did not have them using this pillow. I suggest the large size for adults but my children both have enjoyed their regular sized pillows as well. I did notice that the pillow went a little flat at first. Placing a pillow BEHIND it stopped this issue dead in its tracks and lent to the best nights sleep of my life.
If I could give this product more than 5 stars I would. There is no price I could put on a sound night’s sleep. Also, no pillow has ever worked as well with my CPAP. Seeing my husband wake rested and not in pain was a true blessing. I know what my Christmas gifts are going to be this year.

I have been sleeping on the Sobakawa Cloud Pillow for three weeks and I like it very much. I do not use it alone, but place a normal sized medium soft pillow under it. The Sobakawa Cloud is about half the size of a regular pillow and has a slight dent in the middle of it to cradle the neck. It is comfortable both for back and side sleeping. Other reviewers have complained about the smell of the Sobakawa, but after washing the pillow case included in the box, the only smell I notice is the fresh smell of the laundered pillow case.

The $19.95 that I spent for the pillow seemed reasonable to me. If the pillow did not work, the loss was minimal; but the fact is that it does work for me; it is genuinely supportive and comfortable. Each person has special needs and wants, as all these reviews suggest. Because of the small cost involved, it may be worth it to experiment with the pillow to see if it is right for you.

This pillow definitely helped me sleep better. Since it supports my head/neck/shoulders so well, i could feel my breathing improve the very first night I used it. I had a feeling i wasn’t getting proper sleep (possibly due to sleep apnea) and after using this pillow the first night i realized that my sleeping position was impacting my airway and i could feel how much easier it was to breath. Also I’ve been using it for about two weeks and the quality of my sleep has improved greatly. I woke up the first morning and each day after realizing what it felt like to get a good nights rest after a long time of being exhausted in the AM. It’s not as soft and cuddly like my down pillows, but i’m able to sleep on it fine. Thanks!

I had purchased one of these years ago and loved but then lost it in a move.

I did order another and it is good for feeling like you are sleeping on air and also conforms nicely to your head, or between knees anywhere soft support is needed.
